The Stockholm Water Prize recognises people and organisations who have made outstanding contributions to the sustainable use and protection of the world’s water resources.
The prize is awarded by Stockholm Water Foundation in cooperation with the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and presented by HM King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, who is the official patron of the prize.
All nominations are reviewed by the Stockholm Water Prize Nominating Committee with some of the world’s leading water experts.
We welcome nominations from all parts of the world and strongly encourage the nomination of women candidates. The Stockholm Water Prize awards excellence in both science and practice. As the water world is rapidly evolving, we actively seek to broaden our networks and include many different specialties. Anyone can submit a nomination and the procedure is simple.
Nominations are open from 25 March to 30 September 2024.
