    2008-02-15 News: At the General meeting on 13 February Professor Sheila Kirkwood at the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) in Kiruna, Sweden and Ph.D. Oded Schramm at Microsoft Research Redmond, USA were elected to the Academy.

  • New research fellow positions in clinical oncology

    2008-01-23 News: By support from Acta Oncologica Foundation the Academy will appoint two research fellow positions in clinical oncology. The two part-time (50%) positions will extend over a period of five years, with the opportunity of working one to two years abroad.
  • The Crafoord Prize in Mathematics and Astronomy 2008

    2008-01-16 Press release: This year’s prize has been awarded to Maxim Kontsevich, Edward Witten and Rashid Alievich Sunyaev. It rewards mathematical discoveries that are significant for the fundamental laws of nature and research on black holes and the early Universe.
